NWO Board of Directors Meeting Minutes 2/26/07

Meeting called to order at 6:42 PM.

Present: Rich Gunderson, Raedene Simson, Tina Anaya, Nicki McKeever, Mark Hays, Jeremy Loughry, Merrilee Neely, Jackie Olson, Kristie Bare, Laura Settlemyer, Monique Walker, Trish Hall, Paul Lomeli

Absent:  All present.

Guests:  Cody Walker and Dean Molsberry – Both interested in becoming board members.

Previous Minutes: Mark motioned to approve previous minutes, Raedene 2^nd - motion passed.

Board Reports:

Coaching Coordinator:

Mark stated fields for Challenger camps are now reserved - Amount $800.

Fundraising:

Raffle ticket prize amounts will remain the same.

Volunteer Coordinator:

Monique sent out “Thank You” notes to those who volunteered during the 2006 season. She stated the recipients greatly appreciated the acknowledgements of their efforts.

Unfinished Business:

2007 Budget:  Discussed how we could trim down expenses this season – re-adjusted balance as funds for a new computer were no longer required. Discussed Div. 3 uniform expenses. CYSA has increased their fee to clubs so it was discussed that a player registration fee increase would be necessary.

Paul motioned to increase total player sign-up fee to $95 ($72 registration fee, $23 club fee). Mark 2^nd the motion – Motion passed.

It was decided to budget $4,000. for Div 4 player training.

Jeremy motioned to approve the 2007 budget. Paul 2^nd the motion – Motion  passed.

2007 Calendar:  All registrations will be held at Schafer Elementary school.

Dates: April 18th Wed. 6-8 ,April 21 Sat. 9-4, April 26 Thur 6-8, May 12 Sat 9-12 (Div 4 only)

Tentative Dates: Uniform Day –June 9^th

                            Coach’s meeting – July 18^th

                             Uniform Exchange day – Aug 25

Picture Day is confirmed for September 9 but location is still uncertain.

Div 3 Coaches: The following coaches were approved for the 2007 season.

                        U19 Boys – Paul Lomeli

U16 Boys – Rob Silva

U14 Boys – Bill McKeever

U12 Boys – Jerry Sager                     

New Business:

            Discussion to reduce registration rates for Board members children was tabled.

            Rich (President) appointed Cody Walker and Dean Molsberry as new board members.

Good of the Game:

Div 3 U13 girls team the Hurricanes won Association Cup. Congratulations to Jose Hernandez and his team for a job well done.
